What is a Duke University Standard?

A Duke University Standard is a device that has been specifically configured to work in Duke’s technology environment. In partnership with industry-leading manufacturers Dell and Lenovo, the Duke Computer Program, in conjunction with campus IT Support, has negotiated devices specifically designed for everyday use for the University and the Health System. This includes a wide range of laptops, desktops, monitors, and assorted accessories that can be viewed on the Duke Stores Buy@Duke punchouts. Each Computer Standard comes with a TPM chip for added security, a 4-year warranty that includes accidental damage coverage and onsite repair, and free campus delivery.
