Return Policy
Hardware
Apple, Dell, Lenovo , and Microsoft computers purchased from the DTC may be returned within 5 business days of the purchase if the product is in resalable condition and is accompanied by the original receipt, all shipping and packing material, and all manufacturer's documentation originally supplied with the merchandise. Open box computers are subject to a restocking fee of up to 25%.
Accessories
Returns will be accepted within 14 days of the purchase date if in resalable condition and accompanied by all original packing and manufacturer's documentation. Opened products may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Headphones of all types are not eligible for return, due to sanitary conditions. Such items may be returned to the manufacturer.
Apple Accessories
All sales are final unless in the original, upopenend packaging. Unopened items in resalable condition are returnable within 14 days after purchase. Opened Apple products cannot be returned. Defective Apple accessory product claims are provided directly through Apple. See https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/ for more details.
Software
Unopened current version software products may be returned up to 14 days from the date of sale. Opened software products will be exchanged for like product only. There are no refunds for opened retail software products or licensed software and manuals.
Service Parts
No refunds on service parts. Defective service parts will be exchanged for a like part only up to 30 days from the date of purchase. After 30 days from the date of purchase, defective service parts will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.
Order Cancellation
Custom configure-to-order (CTO) computers from Apple are NOT eligible for stock balance, return or price protection privileges. Apple configure-to-order systems (part numbers beginning with Z) received by the Duke Technology Center and subsequently cancelled or declined by the customer will be assessed a 25% cancellation fee.
